The Radio Wave Technology Form An Integral Part Of Mobile Technology Communication

Radio Waves

Sharing is caring!

The world of mobile devices has really changed the way we communicate, in today’s society.

We no longer have to wait in lines to use pay phones, in order to communicate, with our families; unless of course you are in prison, then you are in hell.

Information has also been made accessible to us, freely through mobile devices; because we no longer have to use actual stationary computers, to get on the Internet.

In today’s article, we are going to talk about radio waves, to understand how cell phones transmit data; so that we are able to communicate

A radio wave are the basic building blocks of radio communication. Because they are a series of repeating peaks and valleys; similar to waves on a pond.

A cycle is the entire pattern of a wave, before it repeats itself, and the distance that it takes; in order to complete a cycle, is known as a wavelength.

A frequency, which is measured in the unit of hertz (Hz), is known as the number of cycles; or times a wave repeats in a second.

A kilohertz (KHz) is one thousand hertz; a megahertz (MHz) is one million hertz and a gigahertz (GHz) is one billion hertz.

A transmitter generates a radio wave, and a receiver detects this radio wave. Therefore; it is important, that an antenna is present, in order to allow a radio transmitter to send the signal; and a receiver to pick up, that radio frequency.

Two bands are used, in order for cellular phones to be able to transmit signals; one of the bands is between 800 to 900 megahertz (MHz) and the other between, 1.8 gigahertz (GHz) to 1.95 GHz.

A base station is able to intercept signals, from a cellular phone, which are transmitted out by the phone; the signals, are then relayed, in a more directional microwave beam; inside the network of the base station, to other receivers.

Depending on how busy the cellular network is, the radio signal that travels; from cell phone to cell phones, would fluctuate in strength

You should note that there are health concerns, due to the small amounts of radiation, which cell phones could emit.

However, since there is now evidence for this, we are not going to get to deep, into that conversation. Let’s just continue to talk about the radio wave technology, in regards to mobile devices.

Radio waves form part of the electromagnetic energy, which is found in the electromagnetic spectrum

Cells are geographically separated zones, which the cell phone uses, in order to send and receive radio waves; which are then transformed in to sound.

Mobile devices, have dramatically changed, the way that we live and work with each other; in today’s society, some of us, can’t even put the cell phones down.

Over 7 billion people are currently subscribed; to a cell phone service, this number is more than the population of earth.

So you can only imagine, how great cell phones are to the majority of people; because the majority of people love cell phones so much.

The majority of users are in developed countries, and in developing countries, the majority of people uses a cell phone.
